  • TAICHI SERIES LEVEL ONE WORKSHOP - SATURDAY, MARCH 11 - ORLANDO, FL

    Beginners will learn to develop the good habits necessary for a daily practice, and advanced practitioners will learn refinement techniques that can be easily applied to multiple areas of their training. In our Taichi Level One Workshop, we set and refine your foundation by working on key elements. We explore body mechanics, function and application for greater use and understanding, whether training for health, longevity or competition. With correct form and structure, these martial techniques can be applied. You will strengthen your alignment of tendons, joints and ligaments to allow maximal Qi Flow and reduce the loss of energy. They go hand in hand and must be learned in conjunction to one another to fully benefit from your practice.   

    We provide a safe and fun environment in which to learn. Unlike a lot of Taichi classes, we will be breaking down the details and refining your technique and comprehension as we go.  Both novice and advanced will walk away with the foundation of a strong daily practice.  The time invested in this workshop will have you well-prepared for the other four levels of training that we offer in our Tao Health & Fitness Taichi Series Workshops.

  • WOMEN'S SELF DEFENSE EFFECTIVE STRIKING WORKSHOP - SATURDAY, MARCH 11 - ORLANDO, FL

    This workshop is for every woman who has ever felt threatened or afraid. This workshop is for every woman who has been in a dangerous situation or had a close encounter. This workshop is for every woman that wants to have the confidence and ability to stand up for herself whenever necessary.

    This portion of the Tao Health & Fitness Women’s Self Defense series is focused on the skills for striking and the footwork to support fast, strong, knockout striking. Keep in mind that striking is the place to start when there is no other option than to fight back. We will be lightly touching base on the other aspects, such as escaping grabs & holds, throws, and ground defense. Each of these areas are also offered in a detailed workshops as well. This workshop will be focused on foundational skills in knockout striking to end a situation.

    While we hope a dangerous situation never happens, it is always better to have the know-how and the skills to be amply prepared. The last thing you want is a situation to occur that you are not prepared to deal with. To avoid this, we must invest at the very least a bit of time and energy learning the basics and acquiring the skills. I hope that by sharing my experience in this field we can create a stronger, more confident, and safer environment for women to grow in and keep would-be attackers discouraged and at bay.
